Guatemala is a representative country in Central America, which limits with other great tourist destination such as Mexico, El Salvador, Honduras and Belize. Its mountainous geography, and its prestigious capital, declared a World Heritage by UNESCO, which respects the colonial past and lets modern constructions expand, make Guatemala a country with a serious identity.
The new Guatemala of the Assumption is the name of the capital. There we will find the availability and attractions of a strong tourist center: we refer to hotel infrastructure, shopping center, museums, historical monuments, palaces, and squares, such as the Plaza Mayor. In it and around there are great attractions related to the history of Guatemala, such as the Palacio National Museum of Culture, the Metropolitan Cathedral, the National Library, or the Centennial Park.
Now, running a bit of the historical/cultural, we incline these lines to green spaces, water, nature, and that is where we find the essence of the Guatemalan Caribbean. Some places that expose that magic are, Lake Izabal, the largest in the country, a great place that is surrounded by beaches and vegetation, the town of Livigston, of Afro-Caribbean origin, located at the mouth of Río Dulce with The Caribbean Sea, the Castle of San Felipe, an area of mountains and valleys, prestigious for its incredible views, or the Monterrico Natural Reserve, located near the department of Santa Rosa, a place to contemplate the show of the sea turtles.
