
The United States of America occupy part of North America, limiting north with Canada and south with Mexico. This surface contains 48 of its 50 states. The other two states would be: Alaska, in the northwest end of North America and the group of the Hawaii Islands, in the Central Pacific. Let’s not forget that the United States is the fourth largest country in the world, after Canada in size, of India and China in population and the former Soviet Union in both aspects.
We want to detail the most important states that make up the group of 48; These are divided by regions, namely:
- Costa del Pacífico: Alaska, Washington, Oregon, California and Hawaii.
- Mountain region: Idaho, Nevada, Montana, Wyoming, Utah and Colorado.
- The southwest: Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas.
- The west medium: North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Minnesotta, Iowa, Missouri, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana and Ohio.
- New England: Maine, Nueva Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island.
- Average Atlantic Region: New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland and the Columbia district.
