The best attraction of the town of San Pedro de Mala: its food

The town of San Pedro de Mal is one of the villages south of Lima that is surrounded by peaceful beaches that are its main center of attraction.

Every time I go to that town, what makes me worship it is its tranquility and its food. You cannot eat better than in bad, where the official dish is prepared that is the carapulcra with the dry soup.

These dishes seem to come from antiquity, especially the carapulcra, because to prepare it you must get the dry potato, but not anyone, since there are different. The variety of yellow dry potato is needed that has a different taste than the dry potato of the coast and even that of regions south of bad.

The preparation is arduous since you have to move and move so that it does not stick. It is made in pailas or large pots and firewood, which gives the special flavor to that meal, which among other things includes mid -spicy colored chili, amní, dry potato and other condiments.

As you can see in the image, it is accompanied by cassava and can be made of pig, chicken, or beef, although it is normal to prepare with the three types of meat in the same cooking.

The dry soup, as the name implies, is a kind of red noodles, but not based on tomatoes, but with panca or colorful chili characteristic of Peru and in general of all Peruvian foods, with a slight touch of spicy.

The taste of food in bad is uniformized and unique, since I tried this dish in different places and has a special flavor that differentiates it from other regions. If they go for bad, they cannot get lost in their food.
