Do not think that Brihuega is a small town, since it brings together different small places that are connected to the main municipality. Do you want to know what they are? Among them we have Archilla, Balconete, Cívica, Castilmimbre, Fuentes de la Alcarria, Malacuera, Olmeda del Extremo, Hontanares, Yela, Valdesaz, Villaviciosa de Tajuña, Pajares, Tomellosa and Romancos. There is no doubt that Brihuega is one of the most attractive and picturesque towns and we are not only talking about the towns of Guadalajara, but also of all of Castile. You will be interested to know that this destination that we propose is characterized by its incredible history and art, as well as by the towns that surround it.
If you are interested in visiting the place, you can make the round trip from Madrid in just one day. Believe us that it is enough time to be able to visit the town and the places that surround it. However, once you arrive at the place, you will want to spend more time there and, without a doubt, you will end up extending your stay in Brihuega. A very interesting route that you can take is through the highway from Madrid to Zaragoza. After having left Guadalajara, travel about 15 kilometers and you will find the town of Torija, characterized by the wonderful silhouette of the castle and a square tower of a church built in the 16th century. Afterwards, you can continue the route crossing the Meseta de la Alcarria and among the immense patches of oak groves, you will find the small town of Fuentes de la Alcarria.
Once you have passed through the places already mentioned, very fast curves will appear in the road, taking you to a small town surrounded by hatched walls. There it is also worth visiting the magnificent churches that stand out above the farmhouse. Arriving in Brihuega, you will be able to see the national annals and enjoy a warm and attractive atmosphere.
